A Taste of Home explores the power of food to connect us to our ancestral culture, to the memories of our childhood, and to each other in a community where “living in two worlds” is often a way of life for many Canadian immigrants and their descendants. Refreshingly candid, powerfully revealing and intimately documented, A Taste of Home was created, produced and directed by international award-winning documentary filmmaker, Gariné Tcholakian. The film, which features the mother-daughter story of the Toronto Armenian Community’s very own Houri and Lori Najarian, is the first in a series of short films by the same title, originally airing on the leading digital network in Canada, Bell Media’s Fibe TV1.
