Yerevan born director David Safarian delivers a vibrant cinematic experience against the backdrop of Armenia’s energy crisis of the 1990’s. He questions life’s struggles through a couple’s experiences during the most trying times in Armenia. Do such adversities bring a family, and a nation together, or pull it apart? A dialogue between the past and the present, darkness and light, coldness and warmth, Safarian retells a story of endurance and hope. The film captured the Best Screenplay Award and Special Mention of the Jury at the Golden Apricot International Film Festival.
