This year Pomegranate Film Festival becomes 8, and we are celebrating our 8th year with a a diverse array of amazing movies, From action to drama to comedy to documentaries, we will be posting our top picks for this years festival. Here is a list of our top 5 Action movies to watch at POM8, which runs from November 7-10, 2013 with a Prelude to POM on November 6.

  1. Abstraction (Sunday November 10 @ 5 pm)

    An intense crime action-drama revolving around the heist of a half-million dollar painting. Starring Ken Davitian (Borat) and Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight). Winner of several awards at the Action on Film International Film Festival including Best Villain for Davitian, who takes on a new dimension in this thrilling film
  2. Betrayal (Sunday November 10 @ 1 pm)

    After the tragic death of his wife, Ray becomes personally responsible for the safety of Vicki, an aspiring model, when due to her father’s embezzlement, she is targeted by a human trafficker and vicious criminal.  Iranian-Armenian Superstar Vahik Pirhamzei is an acclaimed actor/director/writer/producer best known for his hit film,My Uncle Rafael (POM VI). His newest film casts Canadian actress Anne Bedian and well-known stars Ray Wise, Christopher Knight and Chris Atkins.
