Filmed in Istanbul as part of the Armenia-Turkey film platform of Directors Without Borders, a tourist couple look for the Galata Tower and come across something unexpected. Diana Kardumyan is a film maker originally from Stepanakert now plying her trade in Yerevan. She is considered to be one of Armenia’s leading young directors. GALATA will be her third entry at the Pomegranate Film Festival following THE AUTUMN SUN (2007) and THE SHOWER (2009). Her films have a knack for alarming audiences in a charming manner.
