13 year old Loussiné is a gifted pianist who lives with her grandfather in a small “domik” in the city of Gyumri formerly known as Leninakan, Armenia. The Ministry of Culture sends her a piano so that she can prepare for a competition. Upon discovering that the piano does not fit into her home, her neighbours quickly rally to help her cause. A humorous film about closely-knit neighbourhoods and their ability to cope in times of crisis. LE PIANO has garnered over a dozen awards from film festivals around the globe and will be presented as part of the ARMENIA NOW series.
